Learn ‘Modern Trends in Real Estate Appraisal,’ Now Through Aug. 18

Manila, Philippines—The Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations Inc. (CREBA), in cooperation with the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde School of Professional and Continuing Education (DLS-CSB SPACE), has opened its certificate course “Modern Trends in Real Estate Appraisal” on July 28.

The course is the fourth of five modules under the Executive Diploma Program in Real Estate Management offered by CREBA and DLS-CSB since 2002.

Classes are held at the DLS-CSB Design and Arts Campus in Malate, Manila for four consecutive Saturdays until August 18, 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Former president of the Philippine Association of Realty Appraisers (PARA) Carolina Alvarez is the course director.

The topics include the Introduction to Property Valuation, Ethics, and Valuation Principles; Philippine Valuation Standards; Economic Factors Affecting Value; Highest and Best Use of Land; Market Value and Non-market Value, and Other Valuation Techniques; Real Estate Site Identification, and Real Estate Market Analysis; The Appraisal Process; Approaches to Value (Market Data, Cost, and Income Approach); Valuation of Lease Interest, Condominiums and Office Buildings; Legal Considerations in Appraisal, and Practical Valuation for Expropriation Proceedings.
