Manila, Philippines—8990 Holdings Inc., one of the fastest growing real estate developers in the country, has partnered with SM Group’s SM Hypermart as its lead tenant at Deca Mall in Tondo, where the large-scale mixed-use development Urban Deca Homes Manila is located.

Offering a variety of food and non-food products, SM Hypermart will occupy 3,073 square meters of the two-story mall, which has a total gross area of 18,000 square meters and a gross leasable area of 14,547 square meters. It will sign up 450 small and medium enterprise (SME) tenants.

“By bringing in SM Hypermarket as the anchor tenant of Deca Mall, Urban Deca Homes residents and those from the environs no longer have to travel far for their everyday shopping needs,” says 8990 Holdings Inc. President and CEO Willie Uy. “Ultimately, it’s all about delivering convenience and a better quality of life for Manileños.”

The Deca Mall is set to open in the second quarter next year.

Situated in an 8.4-hectare property, Urban Deca Homes Manila, on the other hand, is a 13-tower residential complex offering over 13,000 units with an estimated sales value of P20 billion. Targeting residents of Tondo and those living in the Port Area, Intramuros, Divisoria, and the Camanava (Caloocan-Malabon-Navotas-Valenzuela) area, this township development addresses the housing needs in the most densely populated area in the metro.
