Some of the exciting features of condominiums that entice buyers are the amenities offered. However, as a buyer, you have to look for the amenities that are worth your investment and most importantly, those you can use often and can help you in your everyday life.

It is not always wise to buy a condo that offers all luxurious amenities because basically, the more amenities, the more money you have to pay. Therefore, choose the amenities that are not that luxurious but can still make your stay safe, convenient and enjoyable. To give you ideas on how to choose the right amenities for your new home, here are the most common features of a condo you should be looking for:

24-Hour Security

Homes always have to be secured. That’s why security is the most important thing you have to consider when choosing condo amenities. Other condos only provide little security while others offer extra security. Nonetheless, look for a condo with multiple cameras, alarm systems, closed circuit TV and security passwords.

Even though you have to pay high for this, you can at least have the assurance that you and your home will be safe every hour of the day. The extra money you will pay for security will surely be worth it so never forget to check this feature when you are searching for a new condo.

Internet Access

You surely can’t miss this feature especially now that the Internet is making communications more and more easier. Luckily, it won’t be difficult for you if you’re looking for this feature since most condos are providing Wi-Fi access for all the users of the building. You just have to make sure they provide fast Internet access so it will be easy for you to communicate with your family and friends without leaving the comfort of your home.

Visitor Parking

This is one of the amenities that some condos lack: visitor parking. Although they provide a space for your car to park, it’s still not enough if you have two or more vehicles. Also, when you have visitors, it’s hard to find a place for parking. Some even have to adjust and commute just to avoid parking dilemmas. But if the condo you are checking out has visitor parking, don’t think twice about purchasing since this will be a worthy investment.

Terraces/Balconies

It is always nice to have that extra space where you can relax while having a drink and watching the marvelous sight outside. If you love being outside, be sure to include these on the list of amenities you want to enjoy in your new home.

Terraces or balconies are good places to hang out when you have guests.  You can serve them coffee and tea while remembering the good times, thus making them feel more welcome and valued. Moreover, if you have green thumb and love planting flowers, these amenities will make your stay even more fun and meaningful. Some condos have yard space for each owner so make sure to seize this opportunity. You can check if the yard space assigned to you is ample and suitable for planting. Nevertheless, find out first if there are things or restrictions that may affect your condo agreement.

Laundry Services /Facilities

Not all condos offer this kind of amenity, so when condo hunting, don’t ever ignore this special feature. The advantage of that is you don’t have to go to a laundry shop every week or every other day. You just have to bring your clothes to where the building provides laundry services or just use the laundry facilities. This way, you can make things easier and more convenient for you and your family while saving a lot of time and effort.

Commercial Areas

If you are a snack lover and always want your favorite snack bar at hand, it’s nice to choose a condo where there are areas for retail and restaurants. Some condos offer these kinds of amenities so people can dine out and buy the foods or other essentials at their own time and convenience. Instead of ordering somewhere for deliveries or driving far, you can just go down (since most restaurants and stores are on the ground floor) and happily dine out with your loved ones. This, like the above amenities, will make you save time and effort and will be very convenient for everyone.

In a nutshell, it’s not always best to choose something grand. Consider your needs and safety first before you jump into something that will cost you a lot but cannot help you completely. However, some buyers sometimes choose condos with state-of-the-art amenities just to add value to their properties. Still, it is always wise to choose necessity over luxury so there won’t be regrets in the end.
