Online property search portal PropertyAsia.ph shot its 2016 Christmas video, “KIKO, Story of the First Parol,” at the Holy Child Chapel located at the Philippine Marine Corps, Bonifacio Naval Station, in Taguig City. (VIEW VIDEO)
PropertyAsia.ph picked the chapel because of its peaceful, positive ambiance and its very accommodating staff and parishioners—some even volunteered themselves to join the supporting cast as townspeople.
The chapel, also known as the Bonifacio Naval Station (BNS) Chapel, was constructed in 1969; Commodore Ysmael Lomibao AFP (Ret), then Flag Officer-in-Command (FOIC), PN, decided to build, expand the chapel to provide religious services for the fast-growing number of navy units occupying the area at that time. The church was blessed by the late Cardinal Rufino Santos D.D., then military vicar, and dedicated it to the Holy Infant Jesus (Santo Niño).
The chapel holds regular masses for the marines and their families. It also serves as a wedding church for the marines.
Every January, the church celebrates the feast day of the Santo Niño.
