Living in Metro Manila is truly satisfying with the presence of myriad establishments. There’s never a boring day here. The crowd is always busy juggling work and leisure. However, if you’re not used to the usual hustle and bustle of the city, you have to know the places where people are the busiest. As your guide, here are some of the bustling areas in the metro.

Makati Central Business District

Makati Central Business District (MCBD) is definitely the busiest and most crowded area in the city of Makati. Since early morning, you will see bunches of people rushing to work. This area is where big companies are located. Despite the skyscrapers and towering establishments, this place is also great for relaxation and hanging out as it is home to various parks with green sceneries.

Ortigas Center

Like MCBD, Ortigas Center is also a popular financial and business hub in the city. It’s one of the most crowded areas in the metro as there are lots of things to see and do here. From morning to night, Ortigas Center is filled with people doing different activities. During the day, there are lots of shoppers, workers, and tourists that fill the area while at night, it’s filled with partygoers and diners who want to savor the last hours of the day.

Metrowalk

Situated in Pasig, Metrowalk is fast becoming a famous area in its vicinity. It’s a small yet well-loved commercial hub that’s also a favorite of many locals and tourists. It’s a resting haven for many call center professionals and business people; it’s also a popular venue for big events such as various local and international poker tournaments. The place is bustling and often crowded with people from different walks of life who are having fun checking out its retail shops and restaurants.

Ongpin Street

Ongpin Street is absolutely one of the busiest streets in Old Manila. Named after a Chinese businessman, Roman Ongpin, this area is very popular among the Chinese-Filipino communities. In this place, one can find everything Chinese and will somehow feel how it is to be in China. Locals will also love this place especially its numerous jewelry shops and restaurants.

Avenida Rizal

Avenida Rizal or Rizal Avenue is another bustling area in the metro. Established in 1911, this area is very historical and most people who come here feel nostalgic as they remember the old Avenida Rizal. It has everything you will need: shops galore; at least a half-dozen movie theatres; side streets that beckon to passersby; more tempting specialty shops, and access to other intriguing districts. Despite its age, it’s still crowded with people everyday who come to shop, dine, and be entertained.
