Cagayan De Oro, Philippines—SM CDO Downtown Premier, SM’s 61^st mall in the country, will open tomorrow, May 12. This is SM’s second mall in Cagayan de Oro (CDO), which is located at the busy intersection of Claro M. Recto Avenue and Osmena Street. It has five levels with a gross floor area of 177,743.21 square meters.

SM CDO Downtown Premier, which boasts retail, dining, and entertainment options for its mall goers, brings a vibrant, upbeat retail experience for CDO’s urban market.

Physically, it has exterior finishes such as primary glass, metal, and natural colors that are subtle and upscale. Also, its natural light sources are combined with artificial lighting, which creates a variety of light effects that change with the time of the day, weather, and seasons.

The SM Store and SM Supermarket are its major retail anchors, as well as SM signature shops such as SM Appliance, Toy Kingdom, Our Home, Surplus, Sports Central, Pet Express, and Cyberzone.

Other shops including Forever 21, Uniqlo, Miniso, The Body Shop, Watsons, Ace Hardware, Crocs, Giordano, The Face Shop, Oakley, National Bookstore, Bench, and Penshoppe are part of the mix.

It has seven cinemas: four of which are digital theatres, two Director’s Club, and one large format digital cinema, a state-of-the-art bowling center, and a sky garden.

The mall is also equipped with a Rainwater Catchment System to prevent flooding; this facility, which measures 3,000 square meters and six meters deep, can hold up to 13,650 cubic meters of water or close to 13.7 million liters of water.

Parking should not be a problem for the shoppers; CDO’s newest shopping complex has its own parking building with 1,500 parking slots.
