Manila, Philippines–SM Prime Holdings, one of the largest integrated property developers in the region, is set to construct another mixed-use building in the Mall of Asia (MOA) complex in Pasay City. This development will house the first IKEA furniture store in the Philippines, which is expected to launch in 2020.

The addition of the forthcoming IKEA facility brings at least 65,000 square meters of gross floor area (GFA) to SM Prime’s growing footprint.  Touted as the biggest IKEA store in the world, the structure will have a two-level shop area, a large warehouse, an e-commerce hub, and an integrated call center.

This is in line with our commitment to provide world-class amenities and convenience to the growing community in the complex, as well as the rest of Metro Manila and neighboring provinces,” says SM Prime President Jeffrey Lim in a statement.

This project will be built on Block 4 of the MOA complex, bounded by SM MOA in the north, MOA Arena in the east, MOA Arena Annex in the south, and SMX Manila in the west. There will be linked bridge ways connecting it to nearby developments.
