Valenzuela City, named after a Katipunan leader Pio Valenzuela, is one of the cities that make up Metro Manila. Once an agricultural rural area, Valenzuela, through the years, became a part of the multicultural metropolis and developed economically. It's now home to various industries, businesses, and attractions that both local and international tourists come back to every now and then. For those who have never been to Valenzuela, here are some of the things to love about this emerging city.

Famous Landmarks

Valenzuela City takes pride in its newly opened People's Park. Unlike ordinary parks, areas are separated for different activities so people can focus and enjoy more. For children, there are the kids park, fish pond, and zoological garden. There's also a picnic area for the whole family and an open space called Aero Circle for those who want to be fit and healthy. There's also an amphitheater for different events and gatherings. Another great thing about the People's Park is the free Wi-Fi access for everyone.

Apart from the People's Park, there are many other places to visit around the city such as famous historical landmarks Arkong Bato, Museo Valenzuela, National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, the old residence of Pio Valenzuela, and the San Diego de Alcala Church.

Feasts and Cultural Activities

Though Valenzuela is now a highly-urbanized city, its culture remains intact through the practice of different cultural activities and the celebration of various festivals such as the Santa Cruz Festival, Mano Po, San Roque Festival, and the Feast of San Diego de Alcala. One of the biggest annual events here is the celebration of the city's foundation day in November. During the summer, Valenzuela hosts different celebrations to honor its patron saints and show gratitude for its bountiful harvests.

Residential Amenities

Another reason to love Valenzuela City is its ability to provide the best residential houses with modern and convenient amenities. There's a wide selection of house and lots in the city so that the residents will not miss all the amazing attractions that can only be found in Valenzuela.
