Cebu, Philippines—Ayala Land Premier (ALP) has officially launched its third residential building in Cebu: a tower, named The Alcoves, rising above Ayala Center.

The Alcoves has seven residential concepts, which include a one-bedroom residence called Zen designed for Metro Cebu’s emerging Japanese market—the fastest-growing among visiting foreign nationals according to reports from the Department of Tourism.

Many Japanese visit Cebu for its tropical climate, and for leisure and recreation such as golfing, diving, and snorkeling. For these Japanese, Cebu is an ideal second home with access to education and health facilities, direct flights, and cosmopolitan conveniences.

“What’s special about The Alcoves is the unique unit offerings geared towards the Japanese market,” said Leya Moya, project development group head.  “These features are not present in our existing projects in the city [such as 1016 Residences, Park Point Residences].”

The Alcoves is a mixed-use tower with retail and dining establishments and high-rise residences.  Residents will have private access to the mall.

Along its façade are six levels of 40-sqm green spaces, where residents can relax and enjoy the extraordinary view of the city.

Residences at The Alcoves start at PhP 9 million.

The one-bedroom “Zen” has a unit area from 58-78 sqm and 624-785 sqft, with balcony area from 3-8 sqm and 32-86 sqft. It features Japanese-style bathrooms and bathtubs.

ALP is expected to complete the project by 2020.
