Makati City is one of the most famous, most populated cities in Metro Manila. With a total land area of 27.36 sqm, Makati is home to thousands of businesses that make the city the richest local government unit in the country. With lots of business establishments, the city is able to provide jobs to thousands of people all over Metro Manila. Graduates from different provinces also move into the city for bigger job opportunities. The Makati Central Business District has some of the tallest skyscrapers in the metro, which include the PBCom Tower, G.T. International Tower, and Gramercy Residences. Apart from these, nonetheless, there are other reasons why homeowners pick Makati as their residence.
For most residents in Makati, shopping luxury items is the best way to cope with stress. The Ayala Center is known for its wide array of stores and top-of-the-line boutiques and retail shops. Other famous shopping hubs include Greenbelt, Glorietta Mall, Rockwell Center, and Century City Mall. Apparently, one's shopping adventure will not be complete without dining in one of the fancy restaurants in Makati, where there's a wide range of restaurants that offer various delicacies and mouthwatering treats.
Entertainment is at its best in Makati City. There are lots of fun things to do especially at night. Street bars and night clubs are all over the place and each has something interesting to offer. Some bars feature live bands and offer happy hour deals while others have unique ways to entice partygoers. Apart from clubbing, there are many other activities that one can enjoy such as going to the cinema, swimming, having a picnic in the park, and engaging in sports. There are also many fun activities here that are great for kids such as kart racing.
Though Makati has now been modernized, its culture and traditions are still rich and preserved by some historical places such as Hagdang Bato, Nuestra Senora de Gracia Church, and Saints Peter and Paul Church. There are also history museums that feature arts and Filipino culture such as the Ayala Museum, Museo ng Makati, and Yuchengco Museum.
Another great thing about Makati is the vast range of modern and luxurious residential spots. Essentially, residing in Makati is not all about living in a land of great opportunities but it's also about living in a wonderful, safe, and peaceful place while still enjoying the perks that the rich city offers.
