Cebu is the Philippines’ oldest and first capital city, which is known for its distinctive mixture of history, culture, and modernity.

Cebu City as the center of commerce, trade, education, and industry in the Visayas Region makes it one of the most developed provinces in the Philippines. The province’s economic development, which earlier earned the moniker “Ceboom,” a portmanteau of Cebu and Boom, with its countless beautiful islands, white sand beaches, luxury hotel and resorts, diving locations, and heritage sites, has attracted high domestic and foreign tourist arrivals in the city.

Just like in Baguio City, whose house for sale in Baguio are sought after by expatriates and international students, Cebu’s prestigious educational institutions and impressive tourism numbers boost the local economy.

Cebu also reminds us of Davao City, which is also popular among local and foreign tourists for its unpretentious urban lifestyle and outdoor attractions: water rafting, water tubing, wakeboarding, and mountain trekking.

The real estate industry in Cebu is its fastest-growing sector. With the strong economic indicators and high investors’ confidence level, more condominium projects are being developed in the locality. Estimated 100 commercial and residential buildings have been completed last 2015 and an additional 170 to 200 buildings are expected to be finished this year.

Many people associate the city as one of the premier business centers in the country.  Backed by major investments, Cebu real estate has been growing fast over the past seven years. House for sale in Cebu and condominiums are the most in demand.

Besides its pristinely beautiful beaches, the city is also being visited due to its most awaited festival, the Sinulog Festival, the largest fiesta in the Philippines, which is held every third Sunday of January. The celebration honors the Child Jesus, the Protector of Cebu.
