Quezon City, named after the late President Manuel L. Quezon, is one of the country's central business districts.

Quezon City, also known as Q.C., is the second largest city in the Philippines whose land area of 161.126 km2 or 16,112.8 hectares is more than four times bigger than that of the nation's capital, Manila.

Quezon City is located in the east of Rizal and Marikina City; north of Caloocan City and Bulacan; west of the City of San Juan and the City of Manila, and south of Pasig City and Mandaluyong City. Considered densely populated, its total population was 2,751,320 in 2010. A highly developed urban community, Quezon City is divided into four congressional districts, which are made up of 140 barangays.

This large city, which is accessible by bus and the rail transit systems MRT and LRT, is divided into the northern and southern areas: the northern part is popularly known as Novaliches, which contains Fairview and Lagro; whereas the southern part contains Diliman, Commonwealth, the Project areas, Cubao, Kamias, Kamuning, New Manila, San Francisco del Monte, and Santa Mesa Heights.

It is also home to the country's biggest media networks ABS-CBN and GMA and to many local companies and multinational companies, and government offices such as the Batasang Pambansa Complex. The Araneta Coliseum in Cubao is one of the biggest concert venues in the country.

The Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature Center and military headquarters Camp Aguinaldo and Camp Crame are found here.
