Philippines International Furniture Show Set March 8-10

Manila, Philippines—The Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation Inc. (CFIF), Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP), and Pampanga Furniture Industries Foundation (PFIF), in cooperation with Interior & Design Manila, will hold the Philippines International Furniture Show (PIFS) at SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City from March 8 to 10.

“…PIFS [is] a platform to show the world the ingenuity of our local [furniture] manufacturers and designers, how we interpret the latest industry trends…[and how we] take the lead in design innovation,” said Overall Chair Eduardo Zuluaga in a statement.

Also according to Zuluaga, The show’s expected guests are coming from the United States, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, China, Australia, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, and India.

The event’s theme is “Reflections.”

“Every day, each person we interact with, every place we go to, the pieces [details] define the lifestyle and way of living,” said CFIF Chair Ina Gaston.

The show will  highlight the works of Osmundo Esguerra, one of the most respected hardwood artists and furniture designers in the country.

Esguerra uses indigenous wood in his furniture pieces.
